Grab your sandals and an easygoing attitude, because this week we're bringing you a ton of Keys-style inspiration with a look at the popular destination wedding location of Islamorada. We'll be visiting one of the area's most beautiful venues and sharing some ideas for details you can incorporate into your own wedding; but first, we have a gorgeous real wedding to show you from one of our favorite photographers, KT Merry.
It's no surprise that this wedding was featured on Martha Stewart Weddings - the couple is stunning, the location is a tropical fairy tale and the photography takes your breath away. It doesn't get much better than this!
Coraline and Sebastien chose Pierre's Restaurant as their venue, a gorgeous oceanfront location on the bay side in Islamorada. They were married on the sandy beach under a bamboo arch decorated with orchid garlands and sheer white fabric.
The details the couples chose to fill their day were as gorgeous as the location. The invitations were made by the bride's mother, Sabrina Bennett; they were rolled up and placed in a shell- and sand-filled bottle, then wrapped in burlap and tied with twine. Coraline hung a locket containing photographs of her mother and late father from her bouquet.
And the flowers! Swoon. Touch of Paradise really captured the essence of the beauty, elegance and relaxed luxury of Islamorada. The flower girls' orchid crowns were so fresh and lovely, and have you ever seen anything like the bride's bouquet? I also adore Sebastien's simple starfish boutonnière... it was the perfect touch.
The party moved over to Pierre's sprawling plantation house for dinner and dancing. Simple yet lush floral arrangements, burlap linens and even goldfish in glass vases decorated the tables. I love the little seahorse detail on the glasses - so unexpected!
