We are so excited to start off our Monday by introducing you to our new feature: Real South Florida Bride. The posts will feature a real bride in South Florida and will share her insights, ideas and allow us to be along for the ride in her planning of the big day! First up is Lauren - we love her, and well, we are pretty sure you will as well!
Adored is the word I would use to describe what I thought of Lauren's romantic secret garden themed engagement shoot I saw back in June on Jessica Lorren's site. We knew we would instantly love the ideas she had for her upcoming January wedding, and we are so glad that she is sharing her details and vision as a Real Floridian Bride!
Lauren, born in Miami, wouldn't have thought twice about getting married anywhere other than South Florida. We asked Lauren a few questions about her vision and the style of her and Kyle's big day. The photo above is the beautiful bride in her engagement session, lovely! The necklace, sigh, she made herself!
The Proposal - tell us how Kyle asked you to marry him!
Kyle and I started dating seven years ago this past July. On our first date we walked along the beach at the Jupiter Beach Resort after dinner, it was a special memory for the both of us that we always remember. Well, this year on New Years Eve we stayed at the Jupiter Beach Resort and we had made a plan to wake up and watch the sun rise on New Years day. I didn't see it coming at all and was very surprised when on the beach.... he asked me to marry him.
What are you inspired by for the look of Kyle's & your wedding?
My original vision was to create an intimate dinner/garden party. We are getting married at the Plymouth Congressional Church in Coconut Grove and it has really helped set the tone for the wedding because I am so inspired by the architecture and gorgeous landscape. The church was founded in 1897 and is the most beautiful coral rock building with gardens surrounding it. My fiancé and I absolutley love the vines that have grown on the exterior walls. The church has also inspired our wedding save the dates and invitations. My vision is a classic elegant affair yet still fun and intimate. I am very inspired by our engagement shoot so I plan on incorporating a few of the garden elements into our wedding.
Where did you get your save the dates and invitations?
Paperoni Press: I love Etsy but never thought I would thought I would have ordered my wedding invitations there! One day I was browsing the site and came across this artist, Hilary from Paperoni Press. Hilary is such a wonderful and talented person! This has certainly been the most exciting and rewarding part of planning my wedding for not only me but my fiancé Kyle. The invitations are completely custom its been an amazing few months seeing the invitations and save the dates come to life.
Where will the reception take place?
We chose the Women's Club of Coconut Grove because we were looking for a small space with an intimate feeling. We also wanted a historic building with unique characteristics but that also fit into the budget. The Women's Club of Coconut Grove was perfect for what Kyle and I were looking for.
Who is catering the reception?
Have you found your dress?
Yes! I purchased my dress back in February. I am wearing Vera Wang, I am absolutely in love with it. I would let you know which one, but it is a surprise! I ordered it at Ever After in Coconut Grove.
Thank you Lauren for sharing a little about your upcoming wedding. We can not wait to see more amazing photos of you and Kyle. Such a sweet couple! See you next week with some inspiration for your flowers!

They really could not be any cuter. Good choice girls!!
Love’s voice is so clear in these photos. Happy for them. Happy that I could share in some special moments that affirm the worth of romance.
