I get pretty excited when we find a new-to-us wedding venue, so when I opened up this adorable engagement session from Elaine Palladino Photography (one of our fave photographers and vendor guide members) I was instantly smitten. Rebecca and Chad love to spend the afternoons at Schnebly Redland's Winery and thought it would make the perfect shoot location... and I think we can all agree that it was a great choice!
We asked the lovely bride-to-be, Rebecca, to tell us about how they met and were engaged:
"We met through my cousin, Lianna (maid of honor) who went to college with Chad at FIU in 2004. But after my graduation in 2007 we met again and began dating... the rest was history!
"Chadwick had been secretly planning the engagement for many months. After throwing me off with each holiday or special occassion, he decided to take me to a romantic dinner on May 21, 2011. He told me that he wanted to take me to a nice dinner since he was out of town all week for work but the location would be a secret until arriving there. I was excited to eat somewhere new and anxiously waited to see where Chad would take me.
"We arrived downtown to the Conrad Hotel. Impressed by the location, I was still wondering where in the hotel we would eat! Chad took me up to the 25th floor to Atrio. The view was stunning! We were escorted to a private seating area in the wine bar, away from other guests. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and amazing food. Chad excused himself to the restroom once the dessert arrived. While he was gone the waiter brought out champagne that he said the 'gentleman' had ordered. I was very confused and asked the waiter if he was sure Chad had ordered that! When Chad arrived back to his seat he reassured me that he had ordered the champagne and wanted to make a toast. Before I knew it he was down on one knee with the ring! After repeatedly asking if he was serious, I said yes!!!!"
Rebecca and Chad are getting married in April at the St. Matthew's Church in Miami with a reception at Doral Park Country Club. Best of luck, you two, and thanks so much for sharing your story with us! Hope you enjoy every moment of the planning process.
