A few months ago Laura and I put together a fun Bridal Shower/Bachelorette Party shoot filled with glitter, champagne and lots of cake & cupcakes. I had envisioned an evening with the bride-to-be and her closest friends getting together for a fun night at home, full of sweets and bubbles. We were so lucky to get together an amazing group of local South Florida vendors for the shoot, and with Kat Braman and her beautiful photography skills, we were able to capture lovely images and get featured this week on one of our favorite national wedding blogs, 100 Layer Cake. We are so excited to finally share with you a little bit of the Sweet Soiree!
Laura put together a sparkly invite for our Real Florida Bride Lauren and her friends. A glitter lined envelope made the it fun for a bachelorette party but still very modern.
After creating a Pinterest board full of inspiration I chose to create a backdrop for desserts full of glitter hearts and sequins. I wanted to create a look that I imagined girls at home could actually put together on their own. I used old vases that we had at home and wrapped them with double sided tape and sequin trim to create the flower arrangements. Thank you to the amazing Jennifer of The Sugar Monkey for the beautiful and delicious cakes and cupcakes! The cake had vanilla frosting infused with Cupcake Vineyards Frosting Vodka to add a little kick to the celebration!
One of my favorite items from the shoot was the customized glitter canvas that we created for the bride to be with her and her fiance's initials on it! The girls gave it to her as a gift!
We thought it'd be fun if the girls "showered" the bride with confetti when she arrived, so we filled mini glassine bags with tiny heart-shaped confetti and added a sparkly tag attached with a glittered clothespin.
We had sampled the Cupcake Vineyards Frosting Vodka and thought it would be delicious mixed with Strawberry Soda, and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream... and oh yes, it was! The Bubbly Bar was a perfect addition to a girls evening in, and we found the amazing bar cart on Craigslist for $15! A mix of berries and fruit mixes topped off with Cupcake Prosecco made a perfect cocktail for the evening. I think the names and flavors of the wines and vodkas alone are a reason for a girls get together.
The girls were all dressed in sparkles in some form, from the dress, the shoes to the jewelry and accessories... a perfectly sparkly and fun way to get together to celebrate the bride to be that could easily be created at home. Thank you so much to our lovely models Lauren, Alex, Marianne, Allie and Jenna - you were amazing!
And HUGE thanks to all our amazing Floridian Weddings vendors that made this shoot possible. You rocked it!
