Anytime I open my inbox and find a submission from the talented Cengiz at Adagion Photography I get pretty excited! Cengiz's work is always full of so much fun and so much passion! He truly has an amazing artistic way of capturing couples in love - remember the Paris engagement, oh my! I really fell in love with the idea of this one year engagement shoot. Holly and Carlos had Cengiz shoot their wedding at Morada Bay one year ago and the bride told me that she didn't want to only have photos of the two of them on their wedding day, so she thought a one year anniversary was the perfect excuse to take some more photos. I hope you will see that these will forever be quite the memorable images for the newlyweds.

The newlyweds live in New York City where the bride is a wedding planner at L'Atelier Rouge, and Carlos is a managing partner at a new restaurant, La Promenade des Anglais. They chose to return to Islamorada for their anniversary shoot because Cheeca Lodge is very dear to both of them. The groom's father actually used to own the hotel in the 1970's and their family kept a residence on the property. Carlos grew up going to Cheeca Lodge for holidays and vacations along with the rest of his family and it was the first place where the couple vacationed together (and continued going together!). The groom's parents were married at Cheeca, and Holly and Carlos always knew they wanted to get married down in Islamorada as well. It's not only a great destination spot, but meaningful for both of them.
The couple held their rehearsal dinner at Cheeca Lodge and their wedding close by at Morada Bay. The bride told me that their wedding was timed so perfectly. The ceremony was at sunset, and they had an amazing tent with white draping/chandeliers, and lots of lucite/mirrors/white flowers/crystal. She wished she could relive it again!
These next few photos are my absolute favorite! What better way to celebrate your one year anniversary than by popping the cork on a bottle of champagne?
