We have such a stunner of an engagement session for you on this Monday morning! Jacqueline and Jeff are a gorgeous couple with an obvious chemistry, and Brooke Images took them on multi-location romp through Jacksonville and Fernandina Beach to capture their personalities and sweet love for other. This is one of those sessions where it was nearly impossible to choose which pictures to share with you - every single one was more beautiful than the last. And, to top it all off, they shared an adorable engagement story with us you won't want to miss!
The session started out in neighbor's driveway, with a Cadillac, and then they jumped on the ferry to Fernandina Beach and took some shots around old Fernandina. As Ashley of Brooke Images tells us, "Right before the sun went down we headed to the beach for the rest of the shoot. It was sooo cold, Jacqueline and Jeff were such troopers sporting the suits in non beach weather. We just love shooting them, they are so creative and it definitely showed in the vision they had for their shoot. We are so exited for their wedding this fall!"
We asked Jacqueline how they met:
"We actually met in college in St. Louis, MO at a school called Principia College. Even though we went to school in the Midwest both our families lived in Florida so when we went home for breaks or summers we still got to see each other since he is from Orlando and I lived in Jacksonville. I was a Junior when Jeff was a Sophomore when we met and we had both just ended serious relationships. We started out as friends and had so much fun together hanging out around campus that we eventually started dating! We have been together for 5 years now and it is still as fun as ever."
You know I'm a sucker for sweet engagement stories, and Jacqueline and Jeff have one of the cutest. They were on a family trip to Maine, to a place very special to Jacqueline as she spent summers there growing up, and Jeff had already let the fam know what he was about to do.
Says Jacqueline, "We always used to joke about where he should propose - we would be by a smelly dumpster or central park, or a parking lot and I would always say 'you should propose here' and we had been doing this silly joking for a while. So of course when I got out to this gazebo which he knows is one of my favorite places I actually stood up on the bench and announced to Jeff and my family 'you should propose to me HERE!'. Everyone had the weirdest look on their face... Jeff kept looking at my aunt and he was like 'get down'... I thought he was mad at me or something and couldn't figure out why no one was laughing!! At first I thought he was kidding when he got on one knee and started babbling things that didn't make sense. I kept saying 'wait is this for real or is this a joke?' Finally my aunt said 'Jacqueline SHUT UP and let the man speak!'. Anyway it was so great to share it with my family and he nailed it."
(Adorable, right? I love it when couples send us their engagement photos!)
We also asked Jacqueline how they were doing with the wedding planning: "Wedding Planning is coming along great!! I absolutely love it. I love all the details and creativity. Jeff likes tasting the food. We are getting married in Ponte Vedra Beach on October 7th and cant wait for all of our friends and family to be in one place to celebrate with us!"
We so happy for you two - congrats! And thanks to you and Brooke Images for sharing this gorgeous shoot with us... we can't wait to see what you come up with on the big day in October!
