Happy Wednesday! Today we're bringing you a simply sweet wedding from Captured Photography by Jenny filled with lovely purple details and an emphasis on fun. Jenna, a Florida native that grew up in Loxahatchee and Zane, a fun-loving Long Island transplant, were married at the Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel this past February. Although Jenna kept the affair on the elegant and traditional side, their ultimate goal was for everyone to just have a good time.
Jenna gave us the cute story of how they met:
"Zane and I first met while still in high school. He was in one of my elective classes. I was a senior & he was a freshman. I thought he was really immature (total goofball) and he thought I was stuck up, we didn't talk much. Once I graduated, I left for UCF & Zane finished up high school. A few years later, I moved home and we met again through mutual friends. I had no interest in dating him, all I saw was that immature freshman with blonde afro, huge earrings & skater kid that I met in high school. After 3 years of being persistent I finally agreed to date him & here we are today, happily married :)"
Jenna's traditional "somethings" were all very meaningful, and she told us the stories behind them:
"My mom used her veil and part of the train from her wedding dress to make my garter while my sister sewed purple beads with one blue bead for my something old & blue. Something new was my dress. Something borrowed was a from one of my bridesmaids. In 2006 her best friend in college passed away in a tragic boating accident. Days before the wedding she called to tell me she had my something borrowed but didn't tell me what it was. On the morning of my wedding, Erin pulled out this gorgeous white gold diamond bracelet. When she told me it was her friend's that passed I couldn't believe it, I knew what she meant to her and was so honored to be able to call the bracelet my something borrowed.
"I also wore my mom's original wedding band. My dad and her hardly had two pennies to rub together when they got married and after 30 years of marriage they're still going strong. I wanted that to be my good luck charm."
Jenna's creative mom made many of the details throughout the wedding, including the sweet "I spy" poems.
As Jenna summed up the day, "There are a million memories from that day that I will never forget! It was everything I could have dreamed of and more.""
I can't think of a better ending than that! Congrats Jenna and Zane - our thanks to you and to Captured Photography by Jenny for sharing this day with us.
