We have another lovely soiree with purple details for you today, this time coming from the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater Beach and captured by the talented Andi Diamond Photography. The beautiful bride, Katie, describes her vision as "beachy, elegant, romantic and fun" and her vendors came together to deliver exactly that!
Katie and Ronnie live near downtown Tampa; Ronnie's family is from Florida but Katie's is mostly from Iowa, so it was a bit of a destination wedding for her side. As Andi tells us, "In planning their dream wedding, they knew it had to incorporate their love of the outdoors and the beach, so Clearwater Beach was the perfect spot. Surrounded by friends and family, and a stunning Florida sky, the couple wed in this beautiful beachfront ceremony."
We asked Katie she met Ronnie: "Ronnie and I met through a mutual friend... watching football (which is something we both enjoy doing). Our friend tried on several occasions to get us to go out, but I wasn’t interested and thought I was too busy to date, I was starting a business and didn’t have time! But several months went by and we ran into each other again… this time he caught my eye. He was very charming – yet sincere all at the same time. I could tell he was a very sweet man and after our first date I knew this had the potential to be something special.
"We dated for about 8 months and then he pulled off the biggest surprise of all times – his proposal. It wasn't done in any fancy or flash way (which is exactly why I love him!), but I was SO surprised! I had no idea it was coming."
Katie also gave us the lowdown on her planning and vendor experiences:
"I will say that when I got engaged I told most vendors that 'I'm not the typical girl – I don't really get into all this wedding stuff'... but by the end I had a blast with many of the loved tying my vision of 'beachy – elegant – romantic and fun' all into one. After selecting the gorgeous Sandpearl as the venue, we then chose Andi Diamond Photography as our photographer. I was referred to Andi from a friend and knew from our first meeting that she was going to be the one. She knows how to relate to busy brides… and truly made our engagement a special one.
"I found my dress at CC's Boutique and it was also a fantastic experience – they were able to find just what I wanted and add some unique elements to the dress to make it my own. And the bridesmaid dresses... well, I had previously been in 9 weddings and I was certain to find cute dresses for my sister and best of friends! After searching several bridal shops and department stores we found the PERFECT dresses at Bella's Bridesmaids. They were the perfect mix of classy and trendy and the girls loved wearing them and of course looked gorgeous!
"Apple Blossom did our flowers and Scott was a dream to work with. After our first meeting – I knew he had it, and I trusted him all the way… the flowers were simple, classy and elegant. Exactly the theme I had asked for – he was also very accommodating and worked with our budget. I have never been a big wedding cake person… so I was on a mission to do something different, which is exactly what Laurie and A Piece of Cake did! She put together a beautiful arrangement of desserts…everything from chocolate shooters, key lime cheesecake and cake pops to crème puffs and yummy petifores. We also had the pleasure of working with Chic Designs & Fabulous Events as our 3 month out wedding coordinator… Julie was very organized and able to tie up all the loose ends for me as the big day rapidly approached. I am delighted to say that we were 100% satisfied with all of our vendors and would recommend each of them to new brides!"
