Cheers from across the Pond! Happy Friday! Yes, you read that correctly, from across the pond... I'm in England! A couple of weeks ago Laura wrote the sweetest post on my engagement and noted that me and my Beau are off for a big adventure. What a better day then Friday to share a little piece of my adventure with you. After living in sunny South Florida for a couple years and enjoying the beautiful beaches, the sunshine and the palm trees, me and my soon to be Mr. have packed up our little yellow house in Fort Lauderdale and moved to London!
Over a year ago Laura and I begin our little adventure of Floridian Weddings and I am SO happy to have seen it grow. We have met amazing vendors, visited beautiful venues and shared inspirational ideas with couples getting married in Florida. I was psyched to welcome Desiree to the Floridian Weddings team this Summer and have the chance to join our amazing Road Trip around the state. I will not be leaving the team but I will be popping in now and then to share some ideas and loveliness from Across the Pond. England is filled with weddings and parties {hello, remember that big Royal one last year!} and the English do know how to throw a good party. I can't wait to share some fun with all of our Florida readers! For now, I am going to take a break from this crazy week I've had and make myself a cup of tea {I'm in England, tea please}. Wishing you a weekend of sunshine, I think I may have raindrops! xoxo~Becca
WHAT WE'RE LOVING THIS WEEK
I've only been in London for two weeks and I am already finding so much wedding inspiration! This week I am sharing a few wedding idea photos I captured and a few links of British wedding ideas I have fallen in love with. Cheers!
I discovered the confetti on the ground outside the nearby Town Hall in my neighborhood. Getting married at these old beautiful historic town halls seems to be quite common here and so fun!
I purposely ran by this adorable wedding boutique Mirror Mirror and couldn't resist snapping a photo of this flower birdcage veil by Dolecka, isn't it lovely!
I've been receiving air mail from the US congratulating our engagement. My favorite has been the "Mrs." card from Underground Cards on Etsy.
Lastly, I am so in love with the idea of incorporating this vendor into my wedding, The Roving Artist. At an event I attended last week I sat down in front of an artist and had my silhouette completed in less then five minutes, the above pic, that is me! Isn't this a wonderful idea to incorporate into your reception and have your guests be able to bring home a work of art!
This venue, The Islington Town Hall, is directly across the street from our flat. How adorable is this 1960's inspired wedding!
The fascinator is a common British item to wear at a wedding. I found these images so gorgeous and inspiring for my next wedding reception as a guest or a bride! Why can't Floridians wear fascinators!
I have quickly fallen in love with an English country side estate wedding....hhhmm, I wonder if this will be in our wedding venue selections:)
Dress Crush! Bows and Peplum on wedding dresses, oooo la la!
Who says there are no beaches in England? This beachside wedding in Brighton is absolutely adorable.
