er made quite the journey from Pensacola all the way to Santa Rosa Beach to meet us. We're so happy to share some of Aislinn Kate's photography with you, all wrapped up in a vintage inspired engagement session starring Sarah and JoAllen...
So, let's talk about how stinking cute this couple is! Sarah's pin curls, red lipstick and matching pumps are totally giving me the Allie Hamilton vibe. And I'm completely digging JoAllen's scruffy, dark features with that purple bow tie! I think all of these photos should be printed and placed in funky, retro frames all around their reception. Aislinn told us all about their day together; how they braved tropical storm Debbie and used found objects like some pinwheels from outside a local ice cream shop, a refurbished blackboard, and how the local architecture made this a unique and fun shoot. I couldn't agree more...

What I love about him: He is the most generous, kind hearted man I have ever met. He makes me laugh until my cheeks and belly hurt. He is a lovable goof ball, a big kid with an enormous heart. I am kind of a hot head and very whimsical. He is so patient with me and keeps me grounded.
What I love about her: Every morning I go to work and open my email to find a new message from her stating how much she loves me. She is the most beautiful thing I have ever beheld, inside and out. She is hilarious and is always thinking of new ways to make me laugh. She is far and away the most passionate person one can encounter, and any spontaneity in our relationship can be attributed to her. I am eccentric in more ways than not, and it baffles me that not only does she handle those eccentricities every day, many of them she adores. I truly am the luckiest man, having such a wonderful and beautiful person to spend my life with. Years before dating when we were much younger, we worked at the same restaurant- she a hostess, and I a busboy with an unspoken crush on said hostess. She would oftentimes come get me from whatever task I was performing and ask me to clean a specific table for a guest and, in doing so, link her arm through mine and lead me to the table. She didn't know it, but it meant the world to me.
We actually met for the first time in middle school- we were always a part of each other’s lives in some small form or fashion, be it classmates, co-workers, or even the significant others of mutual friends. Fate brought us together again when we were 19 and we became best friends and dated on and off until we realized through trial and tribulation that, “Hey, we are soul mates”. Since then life has been amazing and we got engaged February of this year.
We are having a fall wedding and thus have a fall festival type of theme, with an abundance of gourds, fallen leaves, wheat, and an emphasis on browns, oranges, sage greens, and champagne colors. As well, we are trying to incorporate some of our Irish heritage into the celebration.
Sarah and JoAllen, your love story is just as sweet as pie and we cannot wait to see the images from your upcoming wedding. Enjoy the last few weeks of your engagement!
