Hi from Across the Pond! I am back in London, setting up our flat, decorating the house for the holidays and happy to unpack my boxes and find my US wedding magazines ready for me to read. It has been a pretty crazy week for me here in the UK meeting new people and finding new places. The wedding season is in full swing in Florida but here in England it is getting chilly and winding down. This weekend is the first of December and in my mind that means winter time. While you are getting ready for sunny Florida weddings, I am getting ready for some snowy ones. Get yourself a nice steaming hot latte and join me in the Friday Fresh Squeeze links!{pretend its chilly for me!} Happy weekend!
WHAT WE'RE LOVING THIS WEEK
I know that the first of December is not the first day of winter, however, in my mind, December 1st always makes me feel like it is winter, holiday season and a possibility of a snowy day. When I saw this London Winter Wedding by the amazing British photographer Eliza Claire, I knew that our readers from all over would love it. The couple had a wedding themed around the Art Deco period that was all inspired by the Bride's vintage engagement ring. The couple was married at a historic church in London and had ordered double decker buses to carry passengers from the ceremony to the reception. However, with the snowfall that happened the days prior to the wedding, the buses were unable to make it. Most guests ended up walking through picturesque Victoria Park to attend the reception. According to the bride, guests didn't mind, they said the beautiful snowy park almost seemed like a fairytale! Check out more photos below from this winter wonderland to see how beautiful the snow did actually add to this lovely couples day.
We would be SO appreciative if you would vote for FLORIDIAN WEDDINGS as one of your top wedding blogs of 2012! Do you love reading our blog...vote for us! We would be SO grateful! Pass it along, Thank YOU!
When I saw this wedding in the English countryside I squealed with delight! What a beautiful venue! A wedding on Thanksgiving may be a perfect wedding weekend for this American girl!
Our flat is finally coming together and I can't wait to get a Christmas Tree this weekend. However, this tinsel tree sure has caught my eye!
I am really loving the "Virginia is for Lovers" shoot, especially all of those lovely dresses.
I think some people forget that we as well have beaches in England, they may not be the sunny sandy Florida beaches but this seaside wedding is still just as sweet. Isn't she the happiest bride twirling her dress!
This wedding was held in an art museum in Ohio but by the beautiful brightly colored mural on the first image, you would have thought it was in Miami:) Loving the brightness of this couples day.
What a beautiful wedding gown, along with the setting of Rosemary Beach, the bright decor, tulips, striped linens, me oh my, I love it!
Sip. Repeat. Find your seat. This is the perfect way to have your guests find their seats, bubbly with escort flags!
The bride may have not been counting on the snow but with the winter chill in the air in London, she had planned accordingly, adding leggings underneath her dress!
Isn't this boutique of anemones just absolutely gorgeous! I love the simplicity of the winter white arrangement, with the only pop of color being the brides bright red lips, it was perfect!
Luckily the couple lived around the corner from the restaurant they held their reception at, they did not need to worry about travelling in the snow! I think there is something so beautiful about these snow filled images that is just so romantic in the winter. I feel like this image could be in a movie it is so picturesque.
