Sometimes, the best weddings are the simplest ones. When two people focus on family, good music, and great food, it's a recipe for a fabulous event. Then you add the always-talented, Aislinn Kate, and we all get to enjoy Cooper & Delaney's wedding through the following photos.
Our sweet couple started off planning their wedding with a vision of 'the perfect 30A style'. Like a lot of brides, Delaney looked to pinterest for DIY project ideas and other wedding advice. In her own words, "Cooper and I decided that our perfect wedding would be as simple, low-key, and stress free as possible. We wanted to have a meaningful ceremony with our toes in the sand. We knew we wanted close friends and family, a beautiful sunset, and a bonfire. It was also important to wait until our daughter, Harper, was big enough to take part. As soon as I first visited 30A, I knew that it was exactly what we wanted. Highway 30A has the ideal mix of unique, quirky, down to earth, laid back, elegant, and so much fun. We could guarantee that our guests would have a great vacation, as well."
There are plenty of beautiful properties to choose from on highway 30A and all over the Gulf Coast. It's easy to see why Cooper and Delaney chose this home for their nuptials. The clean, white sandy beach and a gorgeous home with plenty of space was the perfect choice to entertain all of their guests. Marge, from Beach Weddings 30A, used paper bag lanterns and tiki torches to light the way for guests, built a branch arbor for the ceremony space, and selected natural wood benches as seating. The scenery is so simply elegant, right?
Food and entertainment were a top priority for this wedding. They wanted both to feel homey and relaxed, so they chose to have the Emerald Coast's Chris Alvarado play guitar beachside while guests chowed down on a traditional Low-Country Boil. Potatoes, corn, shrimp, shellfish, and spices galore... oh, my, yum!
We think the casual, communal-style of dining was absolutely genius (thanks to Marge) and will be the "next big thing" for weddings. One of the great things about the delicious boil was how easy it was to accommodate the vegetarians and pescatarians, but still serve the same food. Our Granny Gay said it was the best part of the wedding!
What's a Florida beach wedding without a bonfire and s'mores at the end of the night? It looks like this little family had exactly what they wanted for their wedding...
From our dinner and cakes to my hair and makeup, our friends helped out so much. It actually made the day that much more special, since it was infused with so much love. It was so important that we find the "right" photographer and videographer, and we shopped and shopped. Every time we went back and looked at Aislinn's portfolio, we teared up from the emotion that we felt in her photographs. It was the same with Daniel's videos, and that is how we chose them. Funny how it worked out, and quite by coincidence (or fate), Aislinn and Daniel are both originally from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, just like us! Their work is perfection and we couldn’t be happier!
I absolutely adore how sweet this wedding turned out! Make sure to check out their video, too. Congratulations to Delany, Cooper, and Harper! We wish you many more vacations and bonfires on the beautiful beaches of Highway 30A!
