Happy Friday! It has been a long dark winter Across the Pond but the skies have finally opened up and the sun is shining in London! I've had a busy week and am so looking forward to a three day holiday weekend here in England, with time spent in the park with my face in the sun. I'll be mixing in a little wedding planning of my own, plus a little R&R. I think I speak for all of us when I say, we're glad to see the weekend here. Cheers!
WHAT WE'RE LOVING THIS WEEK
I have been lucky to connect with some great new friends here in London. When I met Valerie and she showed the pictures of her English wedding, I knew I had to share! They were so lucky to have the amazing photographer, Olivia Leigh, on hand who had just captured Valerie's sister wedding as well. April showers, brings May flowers; it was LOVELY and that is what came to mind. Make sure to see more when you scroll down after the Fresh Squeeze!
This watercolor escort card project is so simple and beautiful! How can I incorporate it into my wedding somehow? And how about this watercolor inspired shower? Oh my, ideas for next summer here we come!
I love this article about creating a really personal wedding, not a themed wedding.
Oh how I wish I was a guest at this beach front wedding, doesn't it look beautiful and relaxed?
Wasn't this couple adorable incorporating their love for the Heat in their engagement pictures?
This Derby inspired wedding has me craving a mint julep in the backyard.
Congrats on turning two, Fab You Bliss!
And a small pat on the back to us, too, on our 500th post (and it was a pretty fabulous one).
AND A LITTLE MORE EYE CANDY...
Valerie and Dave planned a beautiful spring wedding to take place in Dave's homeland of England. As the typical English weather tends to do, the skies opened up and rained down on their wedding; however, as you can see from the photos, that didn't ruin their day at all! Surrounded by adorable bridesmaids with umbrellas, guests showering them with rose petals, beautiful flowers at their reception and an amazing English venue, they had a beautiful wedding day.
They had their reception at a gorgeous country house hotel a little outside of London, Great Fosters. Isn't the hotel stunning! I think the white Rolls Royce and the happy couple look like the hotel's next wedding ad!
Valerie told me that it rained their entire wedding day, but the minute the sky took a teeny break, they ran outside for some amazing photos in the garden area. I am so in love with these images of the new Mr. & Mrs. by the cherry blossom trees!
I feel like you can not have an English countryside wedding without an abundance of flowers; English gardens are amazing! Valerie worked closely with her London-based wedding planner to create an amazing room full of overflowing flowers and candles, and the barn looked stunning.
Congratulations Val & Dave! Looking at these images has made me oh so excited for my English wedding next year! xoxo~ Becca
