You're in for quite the treat today with these wedding images by the ever inspiring Pure 7 Studios. There are few things as lovely as a late summer soiree off Highway 30A...
I love the Florida Panhandle and it's not something that I hide. It's beautiful weddings like this one that make my heart skip a few beats everytime the words "Emerald Coast" are uttered. I'm head over heels with the gorgeous styling by The Eventful Planner and how Tammy let the beautiful beaches do most of the work, enhanced by navy, fuschia, and lime green accents. It's obvious why Koster, our bride, was so thrilled with our her special day turned out!
In regards to our big day, I was completely thrilled about how my ideas and thoughts came together with the amazing help of our fabulous vendors. I decided to use navy, pink and green as my colors, which to me, painted a perfect picture for a chic beach wedding. I grew up in Brewton, AL which is basically on the FL/AL line and had a beach house in Sand Destin, so, the area was near and dear to my heart. We both fell in love with the 30A area as it offered and romantic and family oriented place for us to host the wedding. I gathered pictures from pinterest, online and various magazines to show to my florist and planner in which it all came together. I had the most amazing vendors; Tammy with The Eventful Planner, Pure 7 Studios, and Florals By The Sea and they all made our dreams a reality.
Trevor and I met in August 2005 in Tampa, Fl as we both worked for Johnson Brothers Liquor company in Wine Sales. We instantly became best friends which over the years developed into a loving relationship and the rest is history. We both lived in Tampa for a while but eventually lived on trains, planes and automobiles for 18 months while Trevor lived in Boston and I in Tampa. Eventually, we both made it to South Florida in November 2011. We were soon engaged and married in September 2012. We complement each other very well in many ways. We both have the same beliefs, morals and ideas about life and look forward to having a family of our own one day. We are both foodies that love to try new places along with cooking up new creations in the kitchen. Trevor is an excellent cook! We love to travel and be spontaneous with unplanned trips. Trevor is a great balance in my life as he is a realist with a very loving and endearing personality. He makes me feel important and special whether we are at home on the couch or out on the town. He makes me laugh on a daily basis as you can’t take life too seriously. He is also very smart and challenges me daily. I feel that I am also a very doting wife and I try to make Trevor feel special and important. I love to send him cards, put notes in his lunch or on his car just to say, "hi" and let him know how much I love him. We both have a love for sports (Alabama football and Kentucky basketball) and you can find us tailgating on Saturdays. We are truly each other's soul mate and cannot imagine our life without each other.
Such beautiful details, right!? This lounge scene is one for the history books with the sleek white couches, vintage trunks, rugs and luscious floral accents... swoon! There are lots of small details that make this a lovely set up, but, there is one that's special to the bride and her family.
One meaningful detail that we incorporated was my great-grandmothers wedding shoe. It was silvered years ago so we put flowers in the heel and used it on the guest book table. I am her namesake, so, it was very special to use the silver shoe on our big day.
The big day was truly magical in so many ways that it is hard to pin point my favorite part. One is most definitely being able to watch everything come together throughout the day. We rented two beach houses that became our wedding venue site and all of the wedding party stayed with us. The wedding was on the beach and the reception on the lawn in front of the house. I was able to see the entire reception come to life. I also enjoyed spending the day with my girls, mom and niece along with a few great friends. They hosted a spa day for us and we enjoyed fabulous food and cocktails throughout the day. I absolutely cherish the moment that my mom and dad saw me in my dress, but more importantly, the moment that Trevor and I saw each other as I walked down the aisle! It is a feeling that I will never forget as I knew that I was marring the man of my dreams. I also loved my first dance with Trevor to Into the Mystic by Van Morrison, because I was now Mrs. Gousha! My first dance with my Dad was epic. He was really getting into it and twirling me around everywhere. Lastly, one of my other favorite memories of the weekend was the low country broil that Trevor prepared on Thursday. Everyone was just getting into town and we had a blast seeing them and catching up! We enjoyed great food, music and each other as laughter filled the house. All in all it was the best weekend of my life and want to do it again so we can all be together!
I hope it's obvious why I love this area of Florida. Our panhandle is full of gorgeous beaches along Highway 30A and some very talented professionals that can help give you a dream wedding, just like Koster & Trevor's did! Congratulations, you two!
