For our second engagement feature today, we're mixing it up with a beautifully vintage-themed session in Fort Lauderdale captured by Soul Echo Studios.
Justin, an avid golfer, and Jessica, a fan of The Notebook, combined these two interests with magical results. Jessica explained it perfectly: We fell in love doing these activities together while dating so it only felt right to capture that with our engagement pictures.
The couple met in physics class at J.P Taravella High School. From Jessica: Being the overachiever that I am I was in a senior level class as a junior and had the pleasure of sitting next to an amazing and cute senior, to whom would one day be my husband. We were given a task to fill out paperwork for the teacher, when we realized that we lived in the same neighborhood. From this moment, some chatting and getting to know each other took place. It was then, that Justin had offered to give me a ride to school, so I would not have to take the bus anymore. During our rides home I began to become better friends with Justin and his sister Jennifer. It was nice to know at the end of the day I would be able to see Justin and catch up on the day's events and discuss physics homework. Later that year Justin graduated and went off to school at UCF.
During her senior year, Jessica lost touch with Justin but her friendship with Jennifer grew. They saw each other again once Jessica began attending UCF in 2003, but then lost touch until a fateful phone call six years later ... the phone rang at my parents' house and my mother answered in excitement that it was Sandy (Justin's mother) calling to invite me to Justin's graduation party from USF (University of South Florida), where he was graduating with his Masters in Architecture. I hadn't spoken to Justin in several years, but I was eager to go to the party to see him and his sister to catch up. At the party Justin and I seemed to be inseparable, lost in conversations and catching up on the lost years. Justin and I soon after our rekindling at his party, started dating. We soon realized that what we had was true love, honesty, respect and friendship in our relationship.
Justin proposed to his bride a few days before Valentine's Day of last year, after a morning filled with a couple's massage and one of their favorite cafes. From the bride: Justin then was persistent on that we give each other the rest of our Valentines gifts, seeing that we were celebrating Valentine's Day that weekend. After some convincing, we exchanged our gifts. He gave me a box of chocolates, a stuffed teddy bear and two romantic cards. After exchanging gifts, he began to ask me if I would like some chocolate. Not being in the mood I said no, but he kept on asking until I said yes, It was then I began to open the heart shaped box... I slowly opened the top to reveal a diamond ring in the place of one of the chocolates. I was in total shock and excitement. I could not believe this was the moment that I had been waiting for my whole life. I looked up and there he was, on one knee asking if he could be the luckiest man in the world and if I would be his wife. I replied "YES"!!!!
Jessica and Justin were married a few months after this session, and as Jessica reports: It was everything we ever wanted and we are so happy to begin our lives together. Our congrats and best wishes to them, and big thanks to Soul Echo Studios for sharing this loveliness with us!
