Weddings & such

We're always on the lookout for inspiring content related to weddings in Florida, including real weddings, engagement sessions, wedding events and shows, advice/how-to's, beautiful details and great products. A few guidelines for your submissions:

SEND your submissions either by email to submissions@floridianweddings.com (zip or dropbox your photos and put your copy in the body of the email) or via Two Bright Lights.

GET PERMISSION from the photographer if you're submitting photos you did not take; contact them beforehand, and CC them on the email.

FORMAT photos as single images (no collages), optimize them for the screen (72 dpi), and make sure they are all least 640 pixels on both dimensions and without watermarks or logos.

PROVIDE a vendor list with all submissions - we like to feature the work of our sponsors, guide members and (especially) our Faves.

SHARE some information for us to go by; if there is a sweet story behind the couple, or if they incorporated meaningful details into their day, we want to know about it! For shoots, what was your inspiration and how did the day go? There is more to an event than just the images, and the story is very important to us.

NOTIFY the couple for weddings and engagement sessions. We require that the couple be aware and agreeable to publication and we will interview them for the feature, so provide an email contact for them.

We are EXCLUSIVE and will not typically publish a wedding or engagement that has been featured on another online publication, but there are some exceptions (particularly for previous print features, or for our Faves). Please let us know when submitting your event if it has been previously published.

Floridian Weddings maintains a hand-picked selection of wedding vendors and venues, looking for qualities our readers will appreciate: modern sensibility, amazing style, high quality, creativity, passion for the industry and reliability.

We do not accept payment for basic listings, but instead look to create relationships with industry pros that we know personally, are open to collaborating with us via submissions and creative projects, and are supportive of Floridian Weddings and our mission... in short, top-notch professionals that we can wholeheartedly recommend. Paid options to increase your exposure in our guide are available, and we are committed to featuring and promoting the work of our partners in every way possible.
