We are so excited to share this sunny post with you today! A few weeks ago I was dreaming up some different ideas for a fun addition to a Florida wedding. I wanted it to be a delicious treat that guests would be surprised and happy to have during a hot, sunny Florida day.
I love attending a wedding with a specialty bar or a customized dessert station but then I thought, why not replace a dessert bar with an ice creme soda station? Mix in a bar element with dessert flavored vodkas, citrus candies and juices, top the yummy drink with some ice cream and voila - what a fun way to end an evening of dancing and celebrating at a Florida Wedding! We collaborated with the wonderful Michelle March to capture the sunny photos and I am dreaming of attending a reception with this set up to end the evening!
Michelle March Photography" title="ice-cream-soda-station-wedding (9)" class="size-full wp-image-6610" />We created an Orange Creamsicle Float: Orange Juice, Orange Izze Soda, Frosting Cupcake Vodka and a scoop of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream & a Key Lime Frosting Float: Lemon Frozen Yogurt, Lemon Vodka and Sparkling Izze Lime. Garnish both with a slice of citrus candy and a fun straw!
I created an ombre paper chain backdrop that was so simple and so cheery! Wouldn't it be beautiful to incorporate this decor into the rest of your reception!
Thank you Michelle for your beautiful photos and Make Merry for the lovely menu signs! I can't wait to have an ice cream soda at a hot sunny Florida wedding! YUM! xoxo~ Becca

YUM! Love this idea!!! :)
Thank you Lauren! We are so glad you like it! We thought it could be a really fun idea for couples in Florida:)
I’d recognize those hands & that amazing dress anywhere! Great job ladies. Very fresh & fun!
Awww thanks Chair! Doesn’t the dress go so nicely;) Maybe I could be the bartender at the station:)
Love!
Oh, i LOVE this!! I am freezing here in snow and -7 degrees ( 19°F) but looking at those cheerful colors makes me fell all warm and summery. The backdrop is amazing and perfect for a sunny Florida wedding! I think this would be cute as a photobooth backdrop as well, or to decorate the arch. Great inspiration and a wonderful color theme!
you guys, you’ve outdone yourselves! this is beyond adorable!

[...] Nostalgia is likely to set in with this paper chain party decoration. As kids, we use to make these paper chains out of scraps of paper just for the fun of it. Well now it’s time to put those repressed skills to good use as you create a festive party decoration. You can use this project to line walls or doorways or you can hang them from the ceiling to add a little extra pizzaz. [Courtesy of FloridianWeddings] [...]
