Did you catch our Lucky in Love pinspiration board last week? We were inspired by St. Patrick's Day to create a modern, luck-themed wedding in shades of green, white and gold... and we're back this week to share a few easy-to-implement wedding details and DIY projects with you. First up: an obsession-worthy green signature cocktail that's easy to drink and full of bright spring flavor without being too sweet. I think both male and female guests would love it!
When I found this Lawn Mower recipe I was instantly intrigued: melon, mint, lime juice... and vanilla vodka? Could be amazing! Once I mixed it up, I fell in love with the fresh, spring-like, easy-drinking taste, but I wanted something with a brighter green color (to go with our color palette). So, I added in the Midori, and the result was perfection.

(adapted from 'The Lawnmover' by Nicole Aloni via Cocktail Times)
1 cup diced ripe honeydew
1 oz vanilla vodka
1/2 oz. Cointreau
1/2 oz. Midori
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1 tbsp roughly chopped fresh mint
at least 1/2 cup cold brut Champagne or dry sparking wine
Puree the melon in a blender (add 1 or 2 tablespoons of water if necessary). Press the melon mixture through a strainer into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Add the vodka, Cointreau, Midori, lime juice and mint. Shake vigorously to infuse. Strain the mixture into a chilled glass and top with Champagne to fill; give a quick stir and serve.
For the sign, I carried over our color palette and added a sweet little four leaf clover for a hint of our theme. Want it for your own event? I've wrapped it up into a download* for you - just print it out and cut between the crop marks.
Hope you love this refreshing sparkler as much as I do! And stay tuned for more Lucky in Love details.
